Hubby scared the crap out of me.
So we are on the way to his radiologist for his first treatment of this week. We are talking and I look over and the right side of his mouth is dropping(sp). Then he was slurring his words to the point I couldn't make out what he was saying. I tell him I think he is having a mini stroke or that he has taken too much of his pain meds.
We get to the office and I pull to the front door (urgent care is right next door) and tell him to wait. Does he? Noooo. He opens the door with his left hand, as his right hand was pressed against his body, and proceeds to roll right out of the truck on to the ground.
911 is called and Medstar and fire/rescue responds. By that time he is acting fine. Emts check him out, and hubby refuses to go to the ER as he just wants to get his treatment today over with. Sighhhhhh.
The Emts figures since he put a new patch on today of his painkiller it probably threw his body out of whack. But like they said they are not doctors and they can't make him go. Since he was talking fine at that point and could walk a straight line there was nothing for me to over ride him either.
I think I grew 5 more grey hairs this AM.

Cancer dr visit.
Well the MRI was okay on his hip and stomach. He may avoid surgery but will have to wait 7 weeks before we know for sure. Radiation 5 days a week and Chemo once a week. Fridays will be 4 hrs long.
He will have a feeding tube along with the medi port. He will be able to drink water or swallow his saliva but he needs to keep swallowing or he will lose the ability to swallow. Wow I thought that was instinct unless you had a brain injury or dementia.
We will be seeing a nutritious as the Dr. said he will lose weight, so it was a good thing that hubby has some to spare. I know that I had cancer 10 yrs ago but it was a different type and a different place. I am so out of league and comfort zone with this.
